Our family-owned business has a rich history in Clayton, NY, and the 1000 Islands. Lorie has cherished her summers on Round Island since her parents moved there from Rock Island Lighthouse in 1972. Matt discovered Lorie, and the 1000 Islands, in 1989 and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

Matt and Lorie are deeply connected to the St. Lawrence River, and with their son Jack, have spent countless hours exploring the less populated areas of the river.

1000 islands Excursions was established as we want to provide small and engaging boat tours that allow us to share our passion for the natural habitat of the area in a fun and respectful way.
